Fifteen persons including event organiser Chandimal Jayasinghe and model Piumi Hansamali who were arrested earlier for organising a birthday party at the Shangri-La Hotel in Colombo on Sunday night violating quarantine regulations, have been sent for quarantine.
Police said they were sent to a quarantine centre at Passara, Badulla last evening where they would undergo quarantine for 14 days with effect from today.
They were ordered to undergo quarantine on the directives of the health officials and the Inspector General of Police.
B’day party at five star hotel :
The Fort police arrested Chandimal Jayasinghe and model Piumi Hansamali on Monday for organising a birthday party.
Later, another thirteen persons including two women who attended the party were also arrested by the Fort Police.
However, all persons were granted bail after being produced in court.
