Two suspects were arrested with 91.5kg of Kerala Ganja valued over Rs. 13 million in Point Pedro yesterday morning.
Police Spokesman SP Ruwan Gunasekera said the stock of Kerala Ganja was recovered in a joint raid conducted by the Sri Lanka Navy and the Police Narcotics Bureau (PNB).
SP Ruwan Gunasekera said they believe that the haul of KG may have been brought to the area through sea a few days ago.
The suspects aged 47 and 60 would be produced in the court.
Meanwhile, the navy said during their operations, has seized over 770kg of Kerala ganja thus far in year 2019.
