A tearful Mrs. Fonseka comes out of the Welikada prison complex carrying the national dress which the DNA MP Sarath Fonseka was clad in when he was brought to the prison. She was visiting her husband for the first time since he was transferred to the prison last night. Pic by Kushan Pathiraja
I AGREE WITH YOU WITH HANDS DOWN. THIS IS THE MOST UNGRATEFUL COUNTRY ON EARTH.

Sri Lankans are the most selfish, ungrateful, uncivilised, inhuman and corrupt bunch of idiots. We are supposed to have had civilisation 2500 years ago. Thats all history. To make a new start, all Sri Lankans should be wiped out from the land. I hope a tsunami or a volcanic eruption or a natural dissaster will give Sri Lanka an oppotunity to make a fresh start.
Katussa Saturday, 02 October 2010 04:49 AM
Definitely the act of a COWARD!
amer Saturday, 02 October 2010 04:50 AM

I feel ver sorry for SF.but he must take the full responsibilty for all this mess, including the so called JVP sahodarayos
E.T. Saturday, 02 October 2010 05:08 AM
Dear Shiranthi, you are a good catholic. Could you not sway your husband from this sort of pure revenge? What would you have felt if the tables were turned? Do you as a woman and a mother not feel the agony that Anoma, your one time friend is going through? Do you not see the tears pouring out of her eyes?

One tend to think that the Buddhist political leaders from the top down the pipeline who portray an impeccable Buddhist image to the masses are all for their survival only. This is a gross insult to Buddhism.

Utter revenge! Don't say this is done by those who practice BHUDDISM. But the "SILENT" nation is heartening. Am I doing my duty? Same on me.
Samantha Saturday, 02 October 2010 07:22 AM
I too disagree with the decision which president made on General Fonseka, but Mrs. Fonseka should not take this as a political campaign since more actions she takes, they may tight him more. As of everyone knows this is all because of JVP and if not JVP pulled him to politics, still he is the best army commander for those who against him now, as well.
Siri Saturday, 02 October 2010 10:10 AM
Also Samantha, he would still be 'the best army commander for those who against him now' if he didn't contest against Rajapakshe. Yes? No?
Rohan Saturday, 02 October 2010 12:08 PM
Where were you forks when innocent tamil men jailed for alleged crimes they never commited? I have not seena single pic or mother or wife or daughter crying in front of main enterence of prison rohan
Shelton W Saturday, 02 October 2010 01:11 PM
The Army celebrated 60 years, and in this period was any person sent to jail for purchasing frauds ? If not it shows the pure personal vendetta against Fonseka. Mandela was in jail for 27 years. MR is building SF to be the giant killer of 2017?
Mahinda Budu wewa Saturday, 02 October 2010 03:49 PM
this is not a revenge, this is the pure justice, MR is the greatest leader i have ever seen. Hail Mahinda, Hail Sri Lanka,

We all should be ashamed of what this government of Rajapaksha is doing. The people of this country know very well who saved this country from Prabakaran.Rajapakshas rob the victory of General, rob his triump at the presidential election, rob his penison and medals he won with blood now Rajapakshas are going to rob his life.Sad part is the people of this country fast in sleep when do they get up,Shame Shame. If this has happened in India there would have been chaors and even self immolations.
uditha Saturday, 02 October 2010 12:46 AM
