Monkhood is an extreme discipline. Even adults find it very difficult. They are only children. Let them be children. Honestly, I'd prefer to see them in school and get a proper education 1st and then decide whether monastic-life is what they want.

It's interesting. they should be given freedom to play while learning Dhamma. At least little monks are free to play in the sea. Do our children have time to play or go to Daham paasal?.

There innocent childhood is supressed for monkhood thrust upon by ignorant parent’s reasons only known to them!!!! I believe in SL we have a wild west Buddhism practice, practised nowhere except here so different from the original one!!

to Hal, Even you don't have understanding about the world at this time. but still you have to live there and learn. So, They will also learn Buddhist gradually. You don't need to worry for that.

More than anything for them to experience beautiful and lovely beaches Name of MAHINDA RAJAPAKSE should be remembered in every dip they take.
