A ‘sathyagraha’ organized by the Jathika Sanga Sammelanaya was held today at the Vihara Maha Devi Park in Colombo urging the government to take immediate measures to stop the use of agrochemicals containing arsenic and other heavy metals. (Pix by Nisal Baduge)

    This is a critical endevour and should be admired. 20000 odd farmers have died in NCP and much more are in illhealth. might not affect the colombo crowd but lives are lives. govt need to look at this urgently.
