Former employees of the Sri Lanka Insurance Corporation staged a protest today urging the authorities’ to pay them compensation for being dismissed from service unfairly during the period in which the SLIC was privatized. Pix by Nisal Baduge
What's the use of protesting on the roads ? If you were dismissed from service unfairly, you should lodge complaints at the labour ministry and take proper legal action. I have a feeling that they might have agreed to this at that time (and may have received some compensation at at that time also) but protesting again now.
