Weerawansa continues fast

By Nabila HussainNational Freedom Front (NFF) leader and Engineering Services & Housing, Construction Minister Wimal Weerawansa says he will continue his fast unto death against the UN and will not stop even at the request of the President.
Weerawansa has stated, “Only Ban Ki Moon can stop this. The UN Colombo representative and Moon is responsible for my death if I die.”
Weerawansa began his fast three days ago opposite the UN Country office in Colombo demanding that UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon abolish a three member panel which was believed to be an investigative body.
Issuing a statement, Weerawansa said the UN Secretary General took this unilateral action without the sanction of the UN General Assembly and the Security Council.
"You have embarked on this unilateral decision of setting up a panel experts as a result of the instigation of those who have malice against this country. I hold you responsible for all consequences that may arise as a result of this decision," Weerawansa said.

He is not aloe here. He is supported by many ministries; especially, food ministry.
