The governments seem childish in not knowing how gain the trust of people by the use of independent, reputable parties to inquire, whether for this or the LLRC (re. Army Court of Inquiry). By appointing more easily controlable entities, even if they act independtly, there will be no perception of independence but only suspicions can remain about the govt's agenda.
