US didn’t oppose Eelam-Vaiko
Appearing before the Tribunal set up to hear the case related to Unlawful Activities Prevention Act on whether to continue with ban on LTTE outfit, Vaiko has said there was no opposition from the US government when Tamil Eelam government was formed in Philadelphia despite LTTE being banned in the US and Europe.
P K Mishra, director, Internal Security, Home Affairs in his argument, said the pro-LTTE attitude after 2008 was not only against the sovereignty of the nation but also a threat to internal security. (Expressbuzz)
