Appearing before the Tribunal set up to hear the case related to Unlawful Activities Prevention Act on whether to continue with ban on LTTE outfit, Vaiko has said there was no opposition from the US government when Tamil Eelam government was formed in Philadelphia despite LTTE being banned in the US and Europe.

P K Mishra, director, Internal Security, Home Affairs in his argument, said the pro-LTTE attitude after 2008 was not only against the sovereignty of the nation but also a threat to internal security. (Expressbuzz)

Since 1983 almost all the Tamil refugees live in Camps in Tamil Nadu. Even to this day the Indian government does not allow them to obtain vehicle license or buy a plot of land anywhere in India. They are also subjected periodical checking. When Jaya was in power even Lankan Tamil women were deliberately arrested on Friday, locked up in Police till Monday to be produced before the courts. So much for the dignity and pride!

There is no need to establish Eelam in Tamilnadu, as Tamils in India live with dignity and pride, unlike Sri Lanka.
