Body found at Hamilton canal

A body of person who’s allegedly involved in the killing of his wife and his young son in their house in Kelaniya was found from Hamilton Canal, Wattala last evening.

Police said it was decomposed beyond recognition and was without the two hands. The victim is 36 years old and has being identified as Chandana Warnakulasuriya.

His wife, Lathika Hemashilee (36) and Kavindu Umesha (08) were found dead inside the house by using a chemical.

The Wattala police are investigating into the incident under the directions of OIC IP Nimal Ratnayake under the purview of Kelaniya SP Anura Abeywickrama. (Sanath Desmond and Sarath Chinthaka)
