Why cant the railway authorities, in collaboration with the wildlife department, take precautions to protect these majestic beasts from being killed in this gruesome manner. For how long have we been hearing of such unfortunate incidents. But what have these govt. officers who have been tasked to protects such animals done to prevent these incidents. Their failure to act amounts to a crime. These are crimes committed against the entire Sri Lankan nation.
