can't blame the small level players now, when some politicos openly disclose about their helicopters bought from robbed money, this is simply a minor matter.

its like winning the war and loosing the peace. what a nation it has become, people were having high hopes that this country will prosper, it looks like the hope is only for the corrupted politicians.

at 2200 hrs if u walk in uk u get robbed /raped & killed. same in us where over 17000 murders (fbi) a year. any place which is dark isolated at that time u are vulnerable. don't be a frog in da well. govt cannot monitor every 100m on the road.
Machang Monday, 22 July 2013 04:54 AM
Sometimes with the Police Report they can claim the money when they get back.. So next thing is how far we can believe this. There are safety lockers in any hotel.

I think you are generalising everybody because of some crook you knew about.
However, I wonder why two visibly identifiable foreigners should carry so much of cash so late in the night and stroll around the lake. Something perplexing.
Porky Pig Sunday, 21 July 2013 05:55 PM
Why does the Sri Lanka government and the "so called patriots" get upset when travel warning are issued. I being a Sri Lankan do not walk at night, specially after 2200hrs in Colombo.
Sammy Monday, 22 July 2013 04:20 AM
Tourists should be informed not to stroll about in lonely places, whether with belongings or not because the risk of rape cannot be counted out.

lankanboy Sunday, 21 July 2013 06:02 PM
There are cases where tourist cook up stories to claim insurances. What they need is only police report to claim insurance. So police must be informed of this behaviour as well.
