If Ranil wants a pension, he can resign from politics now!
Mohamed Nizam Friday, 20 May 2011 08:45 PM
Before anything else we should send ranil on retirement (and give him a pension). If not he will burn the UNP to the ground. Ranil is a really an agent of MR to destroy the UNP.
LALITH Friday, 20 May 2011 10:09 PM
with or without a pension scheme we want you to retire. We want a strong UNP, either in power or in the opposition. A UNP with a back bone and a strong leader, not a ponna leader
Dakuna Friday, 20 May 2011 11:13 PM
Ranil, have you done the maths, economics, feasibility and home work on this? DO NOT make stupid statements.

If government want to pay pension to the private employee it should great a fund it own and pay the pension. If the government pob the EPF and ETF of the employee and pay litile by litilr their money is not to call pension. It should be call as instulment payment of EPF and ETF.Possibly take the balance in to government fund. Please don't call this Pension.

Sounds like an old communist theory: grab whatever the citizen has and then pay him little by little whilst enjoying the capital for various needs and extravagance of the political elite. It is great that even ordinary people have seen through this "daylight robbery" by the rulers.
