No rift in UNP

The main opposition UNP said today there was no dispute among its members though the reformists and the others held two different media conferences yesterday to thank party members for conducting a successful convention.

UNP spokesman and Galle District MP Gayantha Karunatilake told the media there was no rift at all in the party and assured that the reorganization of the party would be completed within 120 days. This was similar to the assurance given by another group of UNP MPs led by Sajith Premadasa at a news conference on Monday. (YP)
