MR allocate people like them to spread the words. Why 'no confidence motion' ? ... if you & MR Govt. so cleaned let the investigation go through ... laughing stock of idiots, ruining the whole Sri Lanka.
siri Monday, 06 December 2010 02:08 PM
You object when you have something to hide. As 'harry' says, Karu said 'alleged war crimes'. puhul hora karen daene. Before long we too will have 'les majeste' like laws, where no one can question the govt's misdeeds.
Rohith Monday, 06 December 2010 02:13 PM
I heard that Minister talking something about good governance. That is exactly Mr. Karu J says. Good governance. Doesn't the minister understand what good governance is?
Yehiya-Doha Monday, 06 December 2010 02:28 PM
All fool mouth brought the white flag to international court. Mr. Rajeev Wijesighe handle the matter very professionally. But today your leader is suffering lot. At the same way you will bring this matter to international court.

Alleged war Crimes should be probed and the issue buried once and for all! What is wrong with that? Sri Lanka has nothing to hide!
nagu Monday, 06 December 2010 02:49 PM
Yeah.....UNP should first let theire own supporters express themselves.....
Sushi Monday, 06 December 2010 03:04 PM
Whats wrong if he says that. After all there is something called freedom of speech. Its when one is guilty that they react like this. Judgement for the ruling party is around the corner,.
Nuwanda Monday, 06 December 2010 03:25 PM
Is this " war crime investigation" for Iraq, Afghanistan and other places where there was war or only for SL?
If it covers only SL then there is no justification for it. Isn’t it?
Do ordinary civilian in SL, whether they are in South, North, East or West, want to dig old graves or do they are keen in settling down to their normal way of life and then look forward to a better & peaceful future?

Susil do you know that most of the Sri Lankans have no confidence over you and your government.
Nilban Monday, 06 December 2010 04:09 PM
The result of having too high majority in the Parliment.
Nuwanda Monday, 06 December 2010 01:44 PM
Who are making these allegations? LTTE rumps, Tamil Diaspora, few western countries who were hurt by the defeat of tigers are in the forefront. Are not they ? Should we keep dancing to their tune? If we are ready, they will be more than happy to provide music for the next thirty years….
Justin Monday, 06 December 2010 04:46 PM
Karu only said "alleged war crimes in the country should be probed". Why not?
Why is the Minister agitated?
Only those who have something to hide should be worried.
Is the Minister trying to get a better portfolio???

Sri Lankan politics is not for civilised human. Karu did the right thing by making such statement. Those who pass no confidence motion against Karu should be treated as complicit for war crime and prosecuted (of course not under banana Chionthana law)
lankan Monday, 06 December 2010 04:57 PM
During JVP time when innocent sinhalese youth were killed by army everyone wanted a probe, but not now.y is this discrimination?
Rahumathullah Monday, 06 December 2010 05:20 PM
So your people are trying to eliminate all political opponents?
Sinhale Monday, 06 December 2010 05:23 PM
Yes what's wrong with his statement. That will provide a good platform to prove yourself innocent.
Apsara Monday, 06 December 2010 05:29 PM
My suggestion is the GOSL shall face the investigation in order to clear herself. Referring to Iraq and Afganistan is not found good. Two wrongs will not make it right. If we are correct, then no need to scared of any one.

Karu made an statement on cancellation of Oxford Union speech. You never commended him on this. Now you are trying to find fault.

He is trying very hard not to become a 'Senior Minister' :)
Cynic Monday, 06 December 2010 11:26 AM
Is this man jobless? make him a senior minister.
I Hussein Monday, 06 December 2010 10:15 AM
Look like systematic cleansing of the opposition.
Which will eventually pay way for one party rule.
sinnan Monday, 06 December 2010 10:25 AM
Mr.Karu, its correct, It should be probed to clear the government Image!
ZEEREEZ Monday, 06 December 2010 10:25 AM
If the Govt is clean in this aspect why No Confidence, going to this extent gives a signal that there has been violations and war crimes.
Patriot Monday, 06 December 2010 10:35 AM
So its a crime just to ASK for an investigation?
zorro Monday, 06 December 2010 10:37 AM
Better BAN such statements and this will be the proof for "NO WAR CRIMES". Are we talking about the truth or what we want to believe to be the truth!
sethua Monday, 06 December 2010 10:42 AM
Respect the freedom of expression !
Rasika Alwis Monday, 06 December 2010 10:55 AM
This kind of cheap political characters should be wipe out from the country. They are willing to mortgage anything to gain petty political advantages.
Saman Wickramasinghe Monday, 06 December 2010 10:59 AM
If we haven't done anything wrong and there is nothing to hide, then we should not worry about any investigations.
manmohan Monday, 06 December 2010 11:05 AM
whats wrong with it !
if we are clean let it be... and if not susil is right...
but all of you little rats can't hide from GOD !
Cobra Monday, 06 December 2010 11:21 AM
Because the truth hurts!
nawam Monday, 06 December 2010 10:04 AM
Karu is clueless on what he is saying...... Oya vayasata ohoma thama.....
krishish Monday, 06 December 2010 11:27 AM
slowly the opposition will vanished from the system........suba anagathayak..
Abdul Razeen Monday, 06 December 2010 11:30 AM
With the majority the government has in parliament, the motion will probably be passed, but if they really want to bring a no confidence motion they should do it against somebody who actually helped the LTTE.
harry Monday, 06 December 2010 11:32 AM
The important word here is "alleged". Allegations could be probed and cleared or prosecuted as happens in judiciary such as in murder cases.I can not see how Karu is on the wrong for mere expression of what should be done normally with any allegation of any kind.
observer Monday, 06 December 2010 12:33 PM
no war is fought without crime committed, history gives us ample examples . actually during the last stage of war it was distroy the enemy at any cost. Now it is over and done. Tamils in thoes areas are settling to start a new life. Mr. Karu asking to probe in to this slowly healing wound will strengthen the internaltional community and LTTE diaspora to prove their case. That is bad for sri lanka as a whole
nawam Monday, 06 December 2010 12:34 PM
Leaving aside what Karu has said it looks like Susil is for sure looking at saying bye to politics in 6 years. Surely he will not be elected as he has spoiled his Mr. Nice image.....
Hettiarachchi Monday, 06 December 2010 12:50 PM
Where is the freedom of expression? What is wrong in his statement?
BANDA UK Monday, 06 December 2010 12:55 PM
Karu is a government agent. He is playing a political game.Just showing the world something else. How can we trust politicians??Karu went there to strenghthen hands of MR.I am sure nobody will take action against him.
Said Husein Monday, 06 December 2010 01:10 PM
The truth has to be exposed soon or later. The probe on war crimes must be done by an independent International Group of people.
Said Hussein
Anselm Monday, 06 December 2010 01:12 PM
Susil can bring no confidence motions against Ranil, Gen. Fonseka and all the Opposition MPs. and wipe out the whole Opposition from the Parliament as General Fonseka wiped out the LTTE from Sri Lanka
ShanShin Monday, 06 December 2010 01:35 PM
There was a WAR (specially without witness)
There were/are so many accusation about suspected war crimes but both partied involved in the war.
So, why not a Probe?
