Former Health Minister Nimal Siripala De Silva has secured the highest number of preferential votes for the UPFA from the Badulla District by obtaining over 141,000 votes while Dilan Perera pulled in second with over 69,000 votes.
The UNP secured two seats with Harin Fernando topping the preferential list by obtaining over 49,000 votes and Lakshman Seneviratne coming in second with over 31,000 votes.
