Was it about the promise of salary increase by Rs. 2500/=. Mr. Dayasiri is one of the few intelligent and tactful politicians we have.
Good Luck!
Ruwan Ferdinandez Saturday, 27 November 2010 02:34 AM
dayasiri is a showman, and very unintelligent one as well. Having had some education, he should be an example to the people like Mervyn but this man is not different to Mervyn.

That's good, Dayasiri needs to be pruned. He was begining to go over the top once too many.
Concerned Citizen Saturday, 27 November 2010 05:05 AM
Pruning in this manner by an ill-informed Deputy Speaker spells disaster!

If the video clip is about the speech from the President where he promised to give Rs 2500.- salary increase to public servants in public, there is no point in confiscating the mobile phone of Jayasekera as the whole country had already seen and heard it during the Presidential elections. At a time when prosecutors are trying to bring video clip evidence even at supreme court trial against General Fonseka, how could this "johnny come lately" inexperienced deputy speaker confiscate the mobile phone of an MP?
