Man jailed for stabbing former lover

DUBAI: An Indian security guard has been sentenced to three years in jail for stabbing his Sri-Lankan ex-lover on July 6 last year.

The Dubai Criminal Court on Tuesday ordered the deportation of the convict, known as JKK, 32, after serving his jail term.

According to reports, JKK stabbed the maid, identified as NBA, 40, twice in her stomach and once on her arm as she was striving to save herself by grabbing the knife. He reportedly wanted to avenge her refusal to get married to him.

“He pulled out a knife from his laptop bag and immediately stabbed me while shouting ‘I will kill you’,”she said. (Source: Gulf Today)
