Full face robbers shoot; four injured in Gelioya

Four robbers on motorcycles who attempted to rob a jewellery shop had opened fire injuring four before fleeing in Gelioya, Gampola a short while ago.The robbers had entered the jewellery shop wearing full face helmets, during which a bystander had video recorded the robbery.
The robbers had then opened fire at the person recording the robbery.
The people in the vicinity upon hearing the gunshots had converged on the shop and attempted to subdue the men.
The four robbers had opened fire at the people and fled the scene, according to Police Spokesman ASP Ruwan Gunasekara.
The injured were rushed to the Kandy General Hospital.(Darshana Sanjeewa)

All jeweler shops should be given a weapons license and a 2 security should be available at all times. One should be at the entrance and the other should be just close to the area, maybe in a hotel in front or something.and open fire at these thieves.
