UNP Parliamentarian Ranjan Ramanayake has been arrested by the police over possession of a pistol without a valid license.

The the Colombo (South) Crimes Division conducted a search operation following a court order for several hours at the Madiwela residence of Ranjan Ramanayake this evening.

He was arrested after police recovered a pistol without a valid license, 127 ammunitions of 9MM and several suspicious documents during the search.
