State Minister of Internal Security, Chamal Rajapaksa, said MP Rishad Bathiudeen's brother Riyaj was released as investigations had revealed that he had no direct link to terrorism.
He told Parliament that investigations were not completed yet and that if fresh evidence was found out, action will be taken against him.
In response to a question raised by SJB MP Chaminda Wijesiri, who said that the Police Spokesman's statement on this was contradictory, the Minister said investigation would be conducted on his statements. (YP & AS)
