'Covid-19 cure' attracts massive crowds in Kegalle

A syrup claiming to cure Covid-19 has gathered a massive crowd at a traditional Ayurvedic centre in Hettimulla, Kegalle where Police were called to control the crowd.

Reports of the syrup being distributed free of charge made some 5000 people gather. Several Police teams including the Kegalle Police have been dispatched to the location.

This is very wrong. Another receipe for spreading of COVID Islandwide. People were like cattle. No social distancing. This Mr. Bandara must handover the distribution to a relevant authirty who could take precaution or else this type of distribution must stop immediately. Government authorities in kegalle asleep?

it is very wrong to accuse him as he does not charge any thing for the medicine. He may be believing genuinely that medicine is 100% cure for the covid 19. It is the responsibility of the government to test whether it is so and to recommend or ban appropriately. I do not accuse that gentlemen who has produce a medicine and offered to the people.
