Youth Affairs and Southern Development Minister Sagala Ratnayake said that the country’s entire system should be reshaped in terms of safeguarding the future of the youth.
He said so while attending the closing ceremony of the ‘Yowun Puraya 2018’, the national youth programme which was held at the Livestock Development Centre in Nikaweratiya on Saturday.
“Youthfulness is a radical fraction and as a government, we have a responsibility to guide such radicalism in the correct path. It was this radicalism supported to make a huge political turn in January and August 2015,” he said.
He said ‘Yowun Puraya’ was Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe’s concept and he had a future vision for these youths.
The Minister said that the time had come to stop family politics and everyone, including the youth, should be given an equal opportunity.
He added that despite the political situation in the country its entire system should be changed in order to create a better future for the youth. (Thilanka Kanakarathna)

Not going to happen in Sri Lanka, No way. The only way that can implement is by putting a minimum educational level to politicians and by reducing the unlimited perks and benefits from taxpayers money.

What system you all are talking about. It is shame on each and every Sri Lankan. We don’t have any system of government, any system of administration or whatever.

Firstly all politicians past and present should be sent home along with all the lackeys and henchmen.

Correct. But changing doesn't mean continuing the 1977 failed experiment. It looks like you are continuing on that same path.
Perumal Sunday, 01 April 2018 08:42 PM
What he means is very simple. The entire system should be changed to accomodate rogues, murderers and robbers, regardless of their being Medamoolana or any other fame. As Minister of Law and Order he tried to do just that.

You were elected in 2015 to change some systems. You have failed to respect those who gave you power. You have wasted 3 years of our time, so it is time to call it a day.
