A proposal to draft a new Bill titled ‘National Intelligence Act’ to regulate and empower all intelligence services, has been approved by the Cabinet of Ministers yesterday.
Cabinet Spokesman said at a media briefing today that State Minister of Defence Chamal Rajapaksa presented the proposal to the Cabinet calling for the drafting of a Bill to regulate and empower all intelligence services in carrying out their duties.

As most of the lawmakers in the parliament are without any clues about law , it is better to publish the draft so the public can make their views.
