All trains and buses would be deployed from tomorrow as usual to ease the passenger transportation in the country, transport authorities said.

The Railways Department, Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) and the National Transport Commission (NTC) said they expected more people would use the main transportation services from tomorrow.

Railways General Manager Dilantha Fernando said all train services including 49 office trains and long-distance trains would be operated from Monday.

Meanwhile, SLTB Chairman Kingsley Ranawaka said the bus service would come to normal from Monday.

Transport Ministry Secretary Gamini Seneviratne said the Ministry had decided to increase the number of buses while assigning new temporary buses to the service from Monday. (Chaturanga Samarawickrama)
