A total of 521 people quarantined in Kandakadu, Punani, Diyathalawa and Vanni quarantine centres left for their homes this morning.
Accordingly, 315 people who were quarantined at quarantine centres operated by the Sri Lanka Army and 206 people quarantined at the Vanni quarantine centre operated by the Sri Lanka Air Force were released.
The SLAF said that 206 passengers who returned from overseas were sent to Vanni Quarantine Centre on the 17th of March.
A Sri Lankan male who was a British passport holder and a female Philippine national were also among the 206 people.
They said those released would also have to undergo two more weeks of self-quarantine.
