Burying COVID-19 victims begins

Two burials took place in Oddamavadi   

  • Another five bodies of COVID-19 victims were to be buried in the same location last evening

The remains of two COVID-19 victims were buried in Oddamavadi, Batticaloa last morning commencing the process of burying COVID-19 victims, Army Commander Gen. Shavendra Silva said.  

He told the Daily Mirror that another five bodies of COVID-19 victims were to be buried in the same location last evening.  


“The Iranativu Island has also been prepared to bury the remains of COVID-19 victims,” he said.  
“Apart from that, we have chosen another three sites suitable for the burial of COVID-19 victims,” the Army Chief added.
