Global awards for VISHAMA BAGA

‘Vishama Baga’ - a movie directed by Lalith Ratnayake bagged four awards at the recent Asian Cinema Festival held in Manila, Philippines.The four awards include the award for best movie in the region. Titled ‘The Other Half’, the movie received awards for best direction, best script and best supporting character. 

Palitha Perera won the award for the best cinematography. The awardees arrived in Sri Lanka recently. Jackson Anthony won the award for best supporting character. The premiere of the movie was held in Australia.At the Festigious Film Festival in Los Angeles, the movie bagged awards for best child artiste (Pansilu Wickremaratne), best supporting actress (Kaushalya Fernando), Best debut film direction (Lalith Rathnayake) and best film.
