Locally manufactured ‘Gabapentin’ 300mg was launched by State Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Corporation (SPMC) today under the patronage of Pharmaceutical Production, Supply and Regulation State Minister Prof. Channa Jayasumana at the SPMC premises.
The project would minimize the outflow of money from the country since “Gabapentin” was a drug that was previously imported, the State Ministry of Pharmaceutical Production, Supply and Regulation said. (Pix by Kithsiri De Mel)

Thank you Dr. Rajitha Senaratne for initiating this project during your tenure....I trust Prof. Jayasumana had the backbone to remind the gathering of the initiator.

It is our sincere wish that these drugs will be of approved standards and the State Minister, a professional, will ensure continued manufacture of good quality medicine.
