Prime Minister and Economy, Finance and Policy Development Minister, Mahinda Rajapaksa has appointed retired Major General Vijitha Ravipriya as the new Director-General of Sri Lanka Customs, the Finance Ministry said.
During his tenure with Sri Lanka Artillery Regiment, he served many positions in his regiment and the Army, including the office of Director General Training at the Army Headquarters, General Officer Commanding, 57 Division, Director Media and office of Military Spokesman, Director Personal Administration, Director Plans and a number of other key positions in the Army including overseas appointments.
Ravipriya held the office of the Commander Security Forces – Kilinochchi as his last appointment, prior to retirement.
