Sports Ministry looks forward to establishing Rockclimbing in SL

The Ministry of Youth and Sports would look forward to exploring the possibilities of establishing Rockclimbing in Sri Lanka, Minister Namal Rajapaksa said.

He said this during a discussion held with Sri Lankan adventurer, professional rock climber Jayanthi Kuruutumpala and several others.

“Rockclimbing is definitely something new & something we have never explored! Glad that Jayanthi Kuruutumpala & the team were able to share the potential of the sport with us,” Minister Rajapaksa said in his official Facebook page.

Develop the existing sports instead of addressing your friends need at the tax payers expense. There are many sports in the brink of collapse . Even cricket needs attention.

Has the Minister organised support Medical teams in all nearby Hospitals to be on alert in case someone has a disastrous fall and needs urgent Medical/Surgical treatment? OR has the Minister not even thought about it?? If not best even do it now. MM
