Seven employees at Brandix Head Office, Kollupitiya, who were identified as close contacts of Minuwangoda Brandix Factory employees, tested positive for COVID-19, CMC sources said.
Colombo Regional Epidemiologist Dr. Dinuka Guruge said the PCR tests on the employees were conducted at the Head Office while they were undergoing quarantine.
Meanwhile, the Bank of Ceylon (BOC) branch at Ratmalana has been closed since one of the staff member’s husband is among the seven Brandix employees tested positive for COVID-19 today.
Issuing a statement, the BOC said its Ratmalana branch was closed today in line with the guidelines issued by the health authorities. (Darshana Sanjeewa Balasuriya)
