The Fort Police Station which was temporarily closed yesterday after an Inspector tested positive for Covid-19, was re-opened this morning, Police Spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana said.
All other police officers attached to the Fort Police Station were quarantined yesterday and operations at the Police Station were temporary halted for the disinfection process. The public were advised to visit the Slave-Island and Fort police stations to obtain their services.
DIG Rohana said that an additional police team was brought in for duties and the police station was opened from 9 a.m today.
