The Attorney General (AG) has instructed the Acting IGP to submit a detailed report on the progress of the criminal investigation conducted into the Easter terror attacks, Coordinating Officer to AG, SC Nishara Jayaratne told Daily Mirror.
The AG has advised the Acting IGP to provide details of suspects taken into custody by the police for investigation and also the current status of the probe.
The AG instructed that the report be submitted before July 24. (Shehan Chamika Silva)

It looks for the first time in the post-independence Sri Lanka we have a strong and determined Attorney General who is not playing second fiddle to the Police or any other Uniform Branch. Sri Lanka desperately needs sincere men of his calibre.
