Parliamentarian Ranjan Ramanayake yesterday said he managed to pass the GCE Advanced Level examination and had qualified to study law.
Mr Ramanayake told the Daily Mirror that he had obtained simple passes for political science and mass media while obtaining a distinction for general English and 50 marks for general knowledge.
However, he had failed in Christianity. “I will apply for re-correction for Christianity,” he said.
Mr Ramanayake sat for the advanced level examination earlier this year in order to obtain the minimum requirement to study law.
“I am happy about the outcome of the exam as I did not have enough time to study especially because of court cases and other engagements,” he added.
