Soldier and Cop remanded

The soldier and police constable who were under investigation for the killing of two youth after they fired at them near a road block in Ahangama were remanded till March 31 by the Galle Additional magistrate.

One of the youth died on Thursday while the second victim succumbed to his gunshot injuries during the weekend.

The Criminal Investigation Department is conducting investigations into the matter while the Army is conducting a separate inquiry as a soldier was involved in the incident.

Arm force and police need very strict disciplinary rules some are take lay their hand and some they challenge innocent people why they shoot to body of the people ......?

They are not qualified or trained enough to aim below the knee areas as its a small target so they shot the body? people just killing them..I thought war is over , im sure these two guys have never been to jafna when country needed most to fight against terrorism...both should be jailed and given enough punishment with a immediate suspection infinite..

Law equally should be imposed for everybody. If not, country cannot be disciplined for sake of poor innocent people. Not only that financial discipline should come without delay. The politicians should explain the reasons for every public cent they spent. They the country can be made a miracle of Asia. If not, it is a dream. Act impartially without nepotism. People will protect you
