Several candidates contesting the general election have submitted their declarations of assets and liabilities to the March 12 Movement as at yesterday, the Executive Director of the People’s Actions for Free and Fair Elections (PAFFREL) Rohana Hettiarachchi said yesterday.
He said the March 12 Movement had made a public announcement requesting all candidates contesting the General Election to submit their declarations of assets and liabilities and also to declare that they would commit themselves to adhere to the March 12 proposals.
Accordingly, Ashu Marasinghe, Premanath C. Dolawatte, M. Thilaka Rajah, Eran Wickrameratne, Nishantha Sri Warnasinghe, M.K. Sivajalingam, H.M.S. Chaturika Jayathilake and Dr. Charith Niranjan Wegodapola had submitted their declarations of assets and liabilities.
Earlier, the March 12 Movement had urged the candidates to submit their declarations of assets and liabilities before the elections.
