Amazon web services concludes CTO summit

An exclusive, chief technical officer summit, ‘A Journey to the Cloud’ organised by EFutures in collaboration with Amazon web services was held recently at Hilton Colombo. The event was sponsored by Amazon web services and EFutures (Pvt.) Ltd with the participation of over 100 Sri Lankan top CTOs.
The keynote speaker at the event was Information and Communication Technology Agency of Sri Lanka Chief Executive Officer Muhunthan Canagey. He spoke on the concept of cloud and expressed his views on cloud in the context of Sri Lanka. He also said that Sri Lanka is moving ahead towards a digitized culture, now this is evolving fast. 

Other speakers were Head Partners and Alliances India and SAARC Vivek Gupta and Leapset Managing Director Sri Lanka and SVP Engineering Shanil Fernando. 

Leapset’s Shanil Fernando spoke about how Leapset uses Amazon web services and how those services have benefitted his business. He shared his insights into why moving to cloud is a smart business strategy.

The event concluded with an interactive question and answer session, which was moderated by the EFutures team.
