News reports are accurate, so PM did not denyPM expressing interest to contest the presidential election
Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe has not yet denied media reports that he expressed his interest in contesting the presidential election, and it gives credence to accuracy of such news content in the mainstream media, a source close to the Prime Minister said yesterday.
The source said there was no such denial from the Prime Minister’s office, and it meant the accuracy of the news story
According to the source privy to the affairs of Temple Trees, Finance Minister Mangala Samaraweera who is advocating candidacy to Minister Sajith Premadasa keeps denying such reports, but the Prime Minister himself has not denied. The source said it was a news story attributed to the Prime Minister, and he should have denied it if there was any factual error in it.
The source said there was no such denial from the Prime Minister’s office, and it meant the accuracy of the news story.
