102 SPs including one WSP promoted as SSPs

102 Superintendents of Police (SPs) including one Woman SP have been elevated to the post SSPs. 

 Among them were 14 SPs attached to the Special task Force.   
Police Spokesman Ruwan Gunasekara said the promotions had been made with the approval of the National Police Commission and consent of the Elections Commission.   
SP Ruwan Gunasekara and Woman SP T.P.D.W. Jayawardana of the State Intelligence Service, were among the promoted SPs.   
Indika Hapugoda of the Traffic Headquarters, P. Ampavila and A.H.N. Asanka of the CID, M.D.P. Dayaratna of the FCID, P.Liyanage of the Presidential Investigation Commission, W.S.P.P.De Silva and J.B.T. Jayalath of the PSD and W.S. Nishsanka of the Judicial Security Division were also among those promoted.
