    Dheen Thursday, 26 August 2010 12:33 PM

I totally agree with sacrificing animals in this modern era but do we practice Buddhism in the true sense in Sri Lanka. Your conscience will give the answer

    Tissamaharama Thursday, 26 August 2010 12:25 PM

Protest against the slaughetr of animals is indeed laudable. But it should be conducted in a manner that will not create any racial dissension. Otherwise we will again see the spectre of man slaughter

he only did according to his bosses orders nothing else. So the credit goes to MR

chris abey Thursday, 26 August 2010 11:07 AM

Where were the monks when human beings were killed ?? In 1983,1989 ? Whom are you guys trying to fool?

    manjula Thursday, 26 August 2010 10:15 AM

if this exercise is genuinely to stop killing animals, i'm fully with u JHU. i thought we were civilized a millenium ago.

    willows Thursday, 26 August 2010 09:53 AM

why didn't you guys come out for GSF,???

Dicky Athugala Thursday, 26 August 2010 08:30 AM

JUH, it's time to go home. You people have failed in many ways.

    Mudith Thursday, 26 August 2010 09:42 AM

This is Sri Lanka land of buddhists. all animals in this country should live in harmony. Moreover, this is a civilized country. Get these devil worshipers out of this society.

    Bhumi Thursday, 26 August 2010 09:37 AM

Before trying to stop animal killings by others we should stop doing and encouraging it by being vegetarians. Bhikkus should set an example first by partaking only vegetarian food.

Positive Thinker Thursday, 26 August 2010 09:36 AM

Useless people, where is Mathata Titha? During last year over 2,800 new liquor licenses have been issued and revenue increased in billions. Example is set at the Temple Trees.

    hb Thursday, 26 August 2010 09:33 AM

Are you going to protest animal slaughter at other places too? Such as Marktets, slaughter houses, fishing etc etc.. Or is this just a one off-protest?

    nova Thursday, 26 August 2010 09:32 AM

need to stop 1 thing at a time. you cannot stop everything at a time. this is a Buddhist country.

    mw Thursday, 26 August 2010 08:51 AM

:( what would the Buddha have said? means are as important as the ends...

    Dank Thursday, 26 August 2010 08:34 AM

Imagine what would happen if lord buddha saw this ?

    Shyama Thursday, 26 August 2010 08:32 AM

before trying to correct people from other religions, why aren't we trying to correct our own people from all the wrong doings?? Follow all mass killings of humans during the last few months...almost all done by so called Buddhists... We should get together to clean our back yard before going to our neighbours'
