Walk to end torture

A walk has been launched today to celebrate the ‘International Day in Support of Victims of Torture’ by the Human Rights Commission starting from the Commission office premises to the Torrington Grounds. The walk has been launched under the theme of “Prevent the torture” with the patronage of President Maithripala Sirsena, Elections Commission Chairman Mahinda Deshapriya and Law and Order and Southern Development Minister Sagala Rathnayake.
