Channa divests his total interest in Bansei Hikkaduwa

Bansei Royal Resorts Hikkaduwa (BRR) PLC’s former largest shareholder Channa de Silva has divested his remaining 10 percent of shares in the company to Veritas Holdings (Pvt.) Ltd.

He sold 5.37 million shares at Rs.10.20 per share for a total of Rs.54.77 million. During the share transfers earlier this month, de Silva sold 10 percent of the shares for Rs.58 million to Bansei Holdings Co. Ltd and 31 percent of the shares for Rs.183.21 million to Hikkaduwa Hotel Holdings (Pvt.) Ltd. RR notified that Hikkaduwa Hotel Holdings is a related party with three BRR board members also sitting on its board and hence the need for a mandatory offer does not arise.
