Minister Wimal Weerawanshe today requested the government to obtain a fresh mandate of the people through a referendum or a snap election. The Minister who is also the leader of the National Freedom of Front was vocal critic of the US led resolution in Geneva and requested all Sri Lankans to boycottproducts originating for the US.

The Minister said that the US and other global super powers had brought the resolution against the country at the UNHRC in order to satisfy LTTE elements. He requested the people to do what they can to protect the country against the US and said that the people should gradually move to using local products.( Yohan Perera)

Don't lead people in a wrong direction. Leaders are to show right directions, but to do that leaders should be knowledgeable enough to weigh and judge a particular situation.
It seems like Wimal hasn't understood anything about this situation and still clinging on what he accidentally said and trying rationalize his misspoken words.
The better thing now you(and your agonist Mervin) can do to our country is to keep SHUT and let people with understanding deal with this situation.
