Raising the issues faced by the Tamil Nadu fishermen, the Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi on Monday said that the Congress led UPA government would find a solution for the fishermen’s issue immediately.

“We are aware of the problems faced by the fishermen. We are committed to finding a solution to this problem as soon as possible," he said.

“Some months ago, I met some fishermen in Mumbai. They suggested that there should be a dedicated ministry for the fishermen in this country," Gandhi said.
He said a separate ministry would be set up for the fishermen as per Congress’ election manifesto. (IANS)
