UNP parliamentarian Mangala Samaraweera said today the UNP should undergo radical changes to topple this corrupt regime.

“It is not an easy task to send this regime home. It is really a war-like operation.  We cannot fight this government traditionally but need new strategies. When executing such strategies, there should be strict discipline within the party. To make a radical change in the country, our party also needs to undergo a radical change. We hope to bring this radical change at the forthcoming party convention”

Mr. Samaraweera said Sri Lanka’s economy was faced with serious issues due to inefficiency, blatant corruption in the government. (Ajith Siriwardana)

No need any radical changes. Change only leadership and try ? This is very simple.

    Wara Thursday, 29 November 2012 11:28 AM

That means you going to resign from the party, right ?

Ben Hurling Thursday, 29 November 2012 11:42 AM

UNP cannot even govern itself. It has no democracy inside. UNP cannot be trsuted to bring democratic change to Sri Lanka.

UNP should join a common opposition under General SF's leadership.

That is Sri Lanka's only hope of chasing corrupt Rajapakse out of power.
