Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Air Force, Air Vice Marshall Kolitha Gunathilake is to be appointed Commander of the Sri Lanka Air Force with effect from March 1, with the current Commander Harsha  Abeywickrama set to retire on the same date, informed sources said.

Air Marshal Harsha Abeywickrema assumed duties as the Commander of the Air Force on February 28, 2011.
