Its amazing how creative he was when looking back the Sinhala dubbed cartoons such as ha-ha hari hawa and dosthara Honda hitha, etc, etc, where they had that “Sri Lankan” mark in them. We never felt they were dubbed and they were so much “our own”. Thank you sir for your creations which we enjoyed so much in our childhood. May you attend nibbana.

His film "Handaya" was a wonderful one for children. I remember Pradeep Fernando, main character, explaning Mr. Thotawatta's kindness, thoughtfulness and the contribution for children way back in late 1970's (i.e. 1979) We were in Grade 9 and all of us loved his films.
May he attain nibbana and my condolances to the berived family.
