Opposition leader Ranil Wicramasinghe left for India this afternoon. Wickramasinghe was to arived in Chennai this evening and meet with Tamil Nadu politicians. Wickramasinghe is to return to the country after two days.

His visit to India comes just hours after Indian Foreign Secretary Nirupama Rao ended her visit to Sri Lanka.
