One question please! If the president could refrain from appointing members to constitutional council contravening 17 amendment, why can not Opposition leader refrain from proposing any name under 18 A?

Yes Suwimal you are right the opposition should refrain from appointing a member which will give legality to this council which is not independent

Ranil should not be allowed to appoint anybody. He is about to lose his position as Leader of the Opposition.
